Muscle Suit not only reduces burden but motivates worker's heavy work 【 JAPAN LOGISTIC SYSTEMS CORP 】

Japan Logistics Systems Corp, a company offering logistics transportation and solution throughout Japan introduced Muscle Suit "Every" to enhance work productivity of their operation. The company estimates that 60~70% of their workers suffer from back pain when they lift up a box of 20kg to weigh it and load up on the pallet, which is up to 3,000kg of lifting and loading activities every day.

This big burden created low productivity in their operation since workers suffering from back pains needed to stop their operation and change their shifts often. The operation was then handled intensively by particular workers who did not suffer back pains at that time, but since this was only a temporary solution, the company decided to overcome this fundamental problem by introducing "Muscle Suit Every".

"Since it really helps my back, Muscle suit made me do the work without hesitation. It is a heavy work lifting up heavy boxes repeatedly everyday, but the suit makes me motivated to do it", a worker expressed. Muscle suit shows that it does not only reduces the burden, it also changes the way workers feel about their work. The company was able to introduce several "Muscle Suit Every" since it was much affordable than electric powered exoskeleton. The fact that the suit is non electricity and maintenance free also pushed their decision for the introduction.

"I am thinking to set a rule that the suit must be used in the heavy work to minimize and level the burden between the workers so that anybody can do the heavy work without difficulties".
